Why Phone and Free Phone Unlocking Have Become So Important

I read a story the other day which really got me thinking. A guy who lives in England says that he keeps getting text messages from his wife. The only problem is that she died 8 years ago.

The lady in question was a phone fanatic and, like so many of us these days, took her phone with her everywhere. She was buried with her phone when she passed away unexpectedly and her husband now says that he receives messages – with no number – saying things which only his late wife could know.

As I say, this story got me thinking and it showed me just how important phones have become to us now. Not so long ago people talked about hearing voices or seeing spirits but now we get ghostly text messages. Behind the sad story of the death of this man’s wife we can see that cell phones are now without a shadow of a doubt among the most important things in our life.

Who Doesn’t Own a Phone Now?

How many people do you now know who don’t have a cell phone? When they first became popular many of the older section of the population didn’t have one but now more mature people have generally owned one for a number of years and keep on using it.

This reliance on mobile communication is what has made free cell phone unlock codes so important. Now that we use our phones for so much we want to take them everywhere with us as well. The problem is that when your phone is locked to an individual network you are severely restricted in what you can do with it when you travel.

Because of this, free phone unlock codes have become amazingly popular in the last couple of years. As words continue to spread about how easy it is to do this more and more people realize that it is completely safe and legal so we will find that the number of phone owners looking for these codes keeps on increasing.

More Free Codes = More Phone Use = More Free Codes

The knock on effect will be that we can now use our phones even more. For example, going abroad and sticking in a local SIM card will allow us to make cheap phone calls which we couldn’t do before. The circle will continue until everyone who is a serious phone user will have an unlocked cell phone they can do with as they please.

If we can go back for a second to the story of the guy who receives mysterious text messages, I don’t have a clue whether he is telling the truth or not. However, it seems that in some way he feels that these messages help him maintain his connection with a wife who died a few years ago. It isn’t really a conventional use of mobile phone technology but who said that we all need to use them in the same way anyway?

The Days Before Cell Phones and Free Unlock Codes

My phone broke the other day when my little girl decided that throwing it on the ground and pouring all of her milk on it seemed like quite a good way to spend a few minutes of her time.

This meant that as well as having to go out and buy more milk (and clean the floor) I also had to get to the phone repair store in double quick time. The guy who works there obviously saw that I was a bit nervous and was quick to assure me that the phone could be saved and that he would get it back to me in 24 hours. 24 hours! That’s a whole day, isn’t it? What was I going to do without my phone for a whole day?

This little incident got me thinking about a couple of things. Firstly, I need to get my daughter one of those spill proof cups with a lid on it. The other point is that I don’t have the faintest idea what we did before cell phones became so popular.

Wet, Cold and no Blooming Phone

I lived a few years of my life without carrying any sort of phone around with me but what did I do to get hold of people, to make last minute plans and to generally live a full and happy life? I definitely remember trying to find a working phone booth on more than a few occasions. I also recall standing in the pouring rain and freezing cold all alone at a big sports game because my friend didn’t have any way of getting in touch to tell me that he couldn’t make it to be miserable there with me.

Of course those days are long gone now and not only do we have amazing pieces of technology which add a lot to our lives; we  can also use free unlock codes to use them with any network. This takes me onto another point about the days when we were all resigned to sticking with the one network provider or throwing away the phone.

When I got hold of my first ever cell phone the idea of free unlock phone codes would have seemed impossible. In fact, it probably was impossible before the arrival of the internet and the widespread use of it we see today. Incredibly (or at least it seems incredible to me), it only takes a few minutes and no technical skills at all to unlock a phone and have it ready to use on any network anywhere in the world.

Clearly the arrival of these free cell phone unlock codes on the internet has led to a revolution in the way we use our phones, in the same way that the advent of cell phones changed the way we communicate forever. The idea of standing in the pouring rain and having absolutely no way of contacting my friend now seems really old fashioned and before long the thought of being stuck with the one network provider will also seem like an out of date idea.

Your Samsung Galaxy Can Travel With You Now

A lot of us know the feeling of having a great phone like a Samsung Galaxy and not being able to travel with it. In the old days I used to leave mine with a friend before I went away, to save it lying around in a drawer. After all, what good was a phone abroad when it cost so much to make a call home?

Then we started seeing ever better models come on the market and with these amazing devices no one wants to leave them behind. After all, if you have a terrific phone with lots of features on it then you want to use it everywhere you go. The only problem is that those pesky roaming charges keep on eating up our credit if we want to make a call with it.

This also means that people can’t get in touch with you easily when you go away. I remember once I was in Mexico with some friends and my brother had to get in touch with me urgently. Unfortunately he didn’t know the name of the hotel I was staying in. He ended up phoning around just about every hotel in Cancun (there are a lot) and using his really bad Spanish to ask if anyone had me registered with them. It took him a couple of days but he got hold of me eventually. But just think how much easier it would have been with if I had been travelling with an unlocked cell phone. The best bit of the story is that I had left my phone with the same brother before travelling.

Now It Is Easy

Thankfully things have changed in recent years and it is now possible to free your phone from the network it is currently locked to. This is so simple and easy to do that more people are finding out about it and doing it all the time. One thing you will definitely need is your phone’s IMEI number. Don’t worry if you don’t know this however, as you only need to dial *#06#   in order to get hold of this. After that it is only a couple of minutes of action and you will be able to go anywhere you want to with your faithful phone.
