Unlock Your Samsung and Make Him Your Best Friend Everywhere You Go

If you are anything like me then your phone goes everywhere with you and is absolutely indispensable in your life now. In fact, there was something on the television the other day about how cell phones are our new best friends.

It seems that the humble pooch has been displaced from our list of favourite things by our phones. My dog is a cool sort of chap but I certainly wouldn’t want to have to choose between taking him or my phone on a trip with me. Thankfully there is usually room for both of them, although only one of them runs the risk of wetting the seat on the way there.

Anyway, I was talking to a guy at work about this whole “man’s best friend” thing today and he told me that he would love to make his new Samsung his best friend when he travels but that it is too expensive to use it from abroad. He had been missing out on a lot of good fun because he didn’t know about free Samsung mobile unlocking codes yet.

Naturally I filled him in on the process but this got me wondering about how many other people aren’t getting the best possible use out of their Samsung phone simply through not knowing a free Samsung phone unlock is possible.

Taking Bruno Abroad

Since I have already mentioned my dog I’ll bring him back into the story to make a point. His name is Bruno, although he also answers to Luno when my little girl calls him over to give him half her plate of food every day. Now imagine that I could take Bruno on vacation with me but I then left him locked up in the hotel room while I got a local dog and took him out for walks. Sound a bit crazy, doesn’t it? Why have a lovely little dog and not enjoy his company as much as you can?

Well, if we can now use this idea to look at taking your Samsung phone abroad then I hope it becomes clear how important it is to look for free Samsung unlock codes. Instead of leaving your phone in your luggage, low on battery level and feeling kind of lonely (hey, phones have feelings too) you can use it just like you do at home.

Get a Local SIM Card

By getting your Samsung phone unlocked for free you can buy a local SIM card and make cheap calls no matter where you are in the world. It is such a simple sounding idea that it is amazing that everyone hasn’t already gone and done it. Yet it is a fact that many people take a really smart phone with them when they travel but end up making expensive and uncomfortable calls home from phone booths and other horrible places. If your phone is truly going to be your best friend then it is time to treat him as such and make him enjoy your trips as much as you do.

Use Your HTC to Phone People

There are many reasons for using an HTC handset and phoning people is just one of them. What’s that? You can phone people with one of these funky, music playing, game-loaded entertainment centres?

I know it’s easy to forget now with all the rest of their features but HTC cell phones are actually really rather useful for making phone calls with. A lot of us don’t use them all that much for phoning other people but there are some situations in which this can be important.

The simple act of taking a cell phone out with me always makes me feel safer. No matter what happens I know that I can get help by making a quick call. In fact, it seems weird to even think about going out without a phone these days. So much so that it is difficult to watch old movies where one of the characters is in trouble without screaming “Phone for help” at the screen.

Change of Plans

I am pretty bad at turning up on time and at the right place I have to confess.  When I finally arrive to what I think is the meeting place and don’t see the person I am meant to be meeting I have to call and ask where I am actually meant to be. I guess that not everyone is as forgetful as I am but we all need to change our plans sometimes. Being able to communicate instantly with someone who is far away is something we take for granted now but it is a real lifesaver at times.

Travel Abroad

Isn’t it amazing how keen you usually are to phone home once you go abroad? Personally I spend the best part of the year dying to get away from the place only to be then be in a rush to call someone there. I still always phone my parents when I arrive at my destination, despite some of my mates laughing at me when I tell them. I then usually phone to find out the latest gossip and sports news which I might have missed. If I am really unlucky I might need to phone the boss as well.

When I think about it, when I am abroad is when I probably make most phone calls. It is just as well there is such a thing as HTC phone unlocking then, isn’t it? If you haven’t sorted out your own HTC phone unlock then now is a very good time to do so.

This is a free process which is also simple and legal as well. All you need to do is get the right codes and then punch them into the phone. After sorting out your HTC phone unlocking codes you will be able to use the little beauty anywhere you are. Whether you travel to Singapore on business, float down Venice’s canals in a gondola or lie on the beach in Mexico you can get a local SIM card and make cheap calls.

Get Your Nokia Phone Unlocked

If you own a Nokia phone then you probably get a lot of enjoyment out of it. This Finnish based company has produced a huge variety of types of cell phone over the last half century or so. Some of the very earliest types of mobile communication devices in the modern era came from this firm, and they continue to be one of the leading names in the industry.

However, if you have got one of the modern Nokia handsets it will be a far cry from the boxy ones which they brought out in the later decades of the 20th century and which now look pretty funny to us. Their current models include all of sleek lines, fancy technology, cameras, GPS and everything else you need to enjoy it while you are at home.

The one big drawback with your Nokia phone is that it is almost certainly locked. This probably doesn’t really affect you in day to day life in your country but once you travel abroad you will find that having an unlocked Nokia phone is much more rewarding for you to use.

Use Your Nokia Wherever You Go

This is because you can get a local SIM card and benefit from cheap calls wherever you go in the world. No matter what country you are in you will be able to use it as though you had bought it in that country. More and more people are now unlocking Nokia phones on a daily basis because of the advantages of not having it tied to one service provider.

The process to unlock Nokia phones is actually a lot simpler than you might think, and it is also 100% safe as well as being completely legal too. The other piece of good news is that it is completely free to do. If anyone tries to charge for this then you should choose to look elsewhere.

Unlocking Nokia phones for free also mean that they stay unlocked for the life of the device. You only need to do it once and it will stay that way no matter what software updates you apply to it. You will be able to find a list of the different models which you can unlock for free on the internet and from that list you need to chose the right one and then get your code.

The only other thing to really look out for is if you have already tied to unlock your Nokia phone using codes which didn’t work. You will be given three attempts to put in the right code and if you have already attempted to unlock it using inaccurate codes then you run the risk of now not being able to use the correct code even when you have it in your hand.

Apart from that, it is simply a case of getting the codes you need for your phone and then putting them into your phone. It really is as easy as it sounds.

Do You Remember Your First Phone?

Nowadays we can travel the world with unlocked cell phones and make cheap calls home while taking pictures with the camera, playing games and downloading useful apps. It wasn’t always like that though, was it?

credit:guy schmidt@flickr

When I first decided to travel abroad I took my chunky old phone to a specialist shop and asked if I could use it in South America, as I was planning to go there shortly. The guy in the store just kind of laughed at my device and said that I would need to buy one when I got over there. This is a far cry from the ease of today’s free cell phone unlocking process and the amazing amount of things we can do with them once we get to our destination.

To be fair, that old relic of a phone didn’t do much apart from the basics anyway. There was no camera, no music and only a couple of dodgy old ringtones on it. This got to me thinking about the difference between the first phones I ever owned and the current models I now have.

Big, Thick and Pretty Limited

The one I had wanted to travel with was actually my second ever phone, and the first one was even bigger, thicker and more limited. I am almost certain that it was a Nokia and I wish now that I had held onto it to compare with some current phones, as I reckon that it was about 10 times thicker than most of them. Maybe my memory is playing tricks on me but I seem to remember that the battery life was about 2 or 3 hours and I definitely recall having to recharge it every single night beside my bed. It seemed like a revolution a few years later when I first got a cell phone which could run for days without being recharged at all, and it took me a bit of getting used to this to be honest.

The Bosses Get Nice

I finally got a decent one when my bosses at work took a bit of funny turn and decided to waste perfectly good money on looking after their staff. It was a Motorola and I felt at the time that I had finally joined the modern age. I might even have taken to showing off with it a little, but it had some great ring tones so I can be forgiven for that.

Most of us now own a pretty decent level of phone and if you are planning to go abroad like I did all those years ago then looking at free cell phone unlocking is a great idea. I ended up spending an inordinate amount of time and money in phone cabins and call centres in South America trying – and usually failing – to get a decent line home. As it was my first time abroad I didn’t even know what country code I had to dial and my lack of Spanish skills meant that I couldn’t get anyone to help me either. You can get free cell phone unlock codes easily and completely legally online now to avoid this sort of problem.
