Comparing Cell Phone Plans

I have done my research online to compare mobile phone monthly service plans and  there are a lot of options. I am interested in upgrading to a smart phone with text, email, internet and unlimited anytime calls.

Most plans require a 2 year service contract that you agree to when you buy a new cell phone and subscribe to a mobile phone service plan.

All the major carriers I found have data plans with user limitations, add on fees, plus taxes and if you exceed your limitations the charges add up significantly. The following information is what I was able to uncover when searching Google to find the best mobile phone service plan:

Most impressive information I uncovered was WOW Mobile. Liberty International is the  parent company. They offer unlocked Google Android smart phones with no tax, no fees, no deposit, no contract and no bill…when you refer 3 new customers your service is free.

Now I was not out looking for a network marketing company when doing my diligence but I must say that the rewards for refering a couple friends and signing up my family on the same plan makes a lot of sense. Liberty International is a solid company and the compensation plan is unique in the homebase / network marketing industry.

Additionally to a potential replacement or second income from refering new customers to WOW Mobile and the superior call quality on the 3G network, there are features on the Google Android smart phones from WOW Mobile that other companies do not even offer. Here are a few features that make buying a new Android smart phone and WOW Mobile service the best choice for my family:

Tether your Google Android my Touch smart phone to your blue-tooth laptop and eliminate the need for an air card.

Sync your web Gmail account to send and receive email on the go plus unlimited text and multi media messages

Sync your calendar to receive appointment reminders, import your address book contacts from  OutLook Express.

Use Google maps feature for driving directions, it is even voice activated…get more information about WOW Mobile.

WOW Mobile monthly  service. Refer 3 your monthly mobile phone service is free.

No deposit, no tax, no restrictions or user limitations. no other cell phone plan offers as much as WOW Mobile.

Customized Business phone packages!

In today’s world when telephones are so widely used, there is increasing confusion between personal landlines and business landlines. People are confused between applying for business phone packages or for personal phone packages and whether to pick up that nice discounted business phone deal for the house or to take a personal phone line, customized for high usage! Well, to be honest, there are so many options now that it actually becomes very confusing, but this article will try to explain things and clear confusions, on step at a time!

The telephone has come a long way from where it was in the 1870’s period. It may surprise you to know that Alexander Graham Bell was not the inventor, and definitely not the wholesole inventor of the telephone. Alexander Graham Bell was a part of a team that was working on designing an independent communications device, an idea that was devised as a part of improving the existing telegraph systems. Side by side, an independent person / scientist called Elisha Gray was also working on a design for the telephone. Infact, co-incidentally, Bell and Gray completed their designs on the same day and both rushed to the patents office. Mr. Bell reached first and thus his design got patented first. This was also followed by a famous legal battle over the design and patent, which was eventually won by Alexander Graham Bell!

The telephone that was designed by Mr. Bell has come a long way from the basic and simplistic designs. In the beginning, people would not use the telephone, unless and until it was extremely necessary. As the time progressed and needs expanded, people began to use the telephone more frequently. Eventually prices of telephony services went down and telephone usage went up and people running businesses began calling one another for business and trade. It was then that the telephony providers decide to separate the personal users from the people who frequently use the telephone for business.

The new bifurcation saw, almost immediately, the emergence of new and existing telephony companies, as specialist business phone providers. Several companies changed their product portfolio to include business phone packages as well as personal phone lines. The personal phone lines were especially for those people, who did not have business or business interests and used the telephone mainly at home. On the other hand, the business landline with specially created business phone deals were for those people whose calling volumes were very high due to using the phones for business deals and other business related purposes.

Bifurcation of services and the birth of new companies that are offering customized business phone packages and business phone deals, has greatly helped companies create a niche market and offer increasingly customized products and services on both; the business phone packages and the personal phone packages as well!

Reverse Telephone Number Lookup – Reverse Cell Phone Trace

Are free reverse cell phone directories something that actually exist or just a shakedown tactic?  This question is the very first thing that people would like answered when they set out to do a reverse cell phone search.  I can tell you from personal experience that the end result of every experience on sites that offer free results has been disappointment.  Not to mention the time I wasted.  Here’s a look at both free and paid reverse phone lookup directories.

Click to Get Best Reverse Phone Number Trace Service

First of all, why would someone want to do a reverse phone number search?  There are many reasons.  Maybe you need to stop prank phones.  Or perhaps you are trying to find out who your child has been speaking with.  Or possibly you are trying to locate a business contact or old friend.  The list can go on and on, and I think you get the general drift.  All of these reasons are why the demand for a reverse cell phone lookup is as high as it is.

There are directories that enable people to do free reverse phone searches.  These have been around for a long time.  But these free searches are limited to landline home and business numbers.  You can also find toll-free numbers.  This is all old news, though.  My grandpappy probably could have done this back in his day.  But try looking up cell phone, fax, VoIP, and unlisted numbers on these directories and you’ll be flat out of luck

The major wireless carriers own all cell phone numbers.  None of these carriers offer a directory of the numbers they own available to the public.   The numbers are considered private and not a matter of public domain.  However, within the last few years the major mobile phone carriers began leasing the information behind cell phone numbers to third party broker sites.  These are the sites that make the data available to you and me.  They not only collect data from the wireless carriers, but public directories and other miscellaneous private sources as well.  So, they round out their database with VoIP, listed, unlisted, and fax numbers.

When you get on one of the paid reverse cell phone lookup directory’s sites, you’ll be able to find out the cell phone owner’s name, address, wireless carrier, previous addresses, names of relatives, and even more personal information.  You can find information on toll-free, pager, fax, business, pay phone, unlisted, and listed numbers – virtually any kind of number you can think of.  All the searches are confidential and you don’t pay until you want the results of your searches.

If you want to know even more about a particular person, you can even obtain a more in depth background check that reveals birth, marriage, criminal, civil, and bankruptcy records.

So, in the end, there is no such thing as free Reverse Cell Phone Lookup Directories. Get on any of those sites and a fee will be attached in the end. At that point, you can decide for yourself whether their data is accurate and reliable. Or whether the fees they charge are competitive.

Seven Steps to Unlock Your Nokia Mobile Phone

Typically when you purchase a cell phone, the company that sold you the phone (ex: AT&T) ‘locked’ the phone before you bought it, so you can only use it on their network. This means that you can’t use your phone if on any other network, even if you change the SIM (which is an abbreviation for Subscriber Identity Module) card. The SIM card is the little piece of plastic that identifies your phone to the cellular network. Changing your SIM card to have your phone work on another network is useful especially if you want to travel to another country and want to buy a pre-paid SIM card so you can have cell phone access without roaming charges. There are services that offer to provide unlocking capabilities for a fee, but don’t pay for them! You can do it yourself for free, which is the perfect price.

Before trying anything else, contact your service provider and ask for an unlock code. Usually, if you’ve been a customer of theirs for some time, they will provide you with an unlock code for free. This is, by far, the best way to get your phone unlocked. Download software to generate the unlocking code. Software is available on some websites for free and some pay websites that also offer support if things go wrong. See external links below. Find the Serial number of the cell phone, also known as your IMEI number. This can be done by either removing the back of your cell phone and looking underneath the battery, or simply by typing in *#06# into your cell phone. It should be something like: 010082321439976/07951780736 Using the software you have downloaded, enter in your Manufacturer (which is in this case Nokia), and sliding the card out. Put the battery back in and power the phone on. You will see a message “Insert SIM Card”. Enter all of the characters you see in your code, including the # symbols. To get a ‘p’ press * 3 times, to get a ‘+’ press the * key 2 times, to get a ‘w’ press the * key 4 times. Disregard any spaces in the code. In order to unlock your phone you generally need to enter only one code. Start with the first one. If your phone is not unlocked by typing the first code (MCC+MNC), use code “7” (Multilock) Once you have finished entering a code that works you should see a message that says “SIM is not restricted” or “Restriction off” message depending on your model. If not, try entering another code. Message “Cannot undo restrictions” means the phone is “hard-locked” and cannot be unlocked by code. Tips For some phones, such as the E51, you may unlock them simply by updating the phone’s firmware using the Nokia PC Suite. Unlocking applies to all cellular phones. The steps provided above work for GSM phones. You CANNOT use the steps above to unlock a CDMA or TDMA phone. To “unlock” a CDMA or TDMA phones is known as reprogramming the phone. For CDMA phones, you need the Master Subsidary Lock or MSL, which you MAY be able to get from your service provider. Please note that you may not be able to get the MSL from your service provider, as it usually is against company policy to give these to customers. Switch off the phone. Hold the keys “3”, “*” and “Call” and switch the phone on. Keep the buttons held down till you see the word “Formatting…” on the screen. Make sure that the battery is full charged before you attempt this. This should reset the phone lock code. Also some software is able to unlock CDMA,GSM and other phones to different networks but you must watch for the fraud ones

Warnings

Attempting to unlock your Nokia Mobile phone is done at your own risk. Although unlocking your phone is legal, some cell phone operators might choose to void your warranty should you unlock your phone. Most phones only allow you to try a certain number of unlock tries, Nokia phones have a limit of 5 tries. After that, the phone becomes “hard-locked”, meaning it cannot be unlocked without using special equipment. Most of the newer phones will not work with the codes generated by the free unlock programs.
